Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups dried rose petals

Instructions

  • Add the honey and water to a pan (that can fit all the ingredients) and heat over medium heat until just about boiling, stirring frequently.
  • Rinse rose petals if necessary (mine suggested rinsing from dust before use because they were dried outdoors).
  • Turn off heat and stir in rose petals until completely submerged. Let sit an hour or so.
  • Strain into a clean mason jar, put on the lid, and refrigerate for up to a week.

Notes

So easy but so much delicious rose fragrance and subtle but amazing rose and honey flavor. Enjoy this beautiful honey rose simple syrup in cocktails, over ice cream, with this grilled melon and toasted hazelnuts, or however else you see fit.
