Smoky Agave Lime Chicken

Beautiful smoky sweet tart flavor from this simple sheet pan chicken recipe. Smoked paprika, sweet agave, tart lime, and finish with some spicy serranos and cilantro!

Ingredients

Smoky Sheet Pan Chicken

  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken (I used boneless skinless breast)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

Agave Lime Glaze

  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp agave
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Finish

  • 1 each serrano chile, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

Smoky Sheet Pan Chicken

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Farenheit.
  • Cut the chicken breast into 1/4 inch by 1 1/2 – 2 inch pieces and put in a bowl.
  • Add first bit of lime juice, agave, and smoked paprika to bowl with chicken and toss. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper and toss again.
  • Add to a sheet pan and bake for 15 minutes.

Agave Lime Glaze

  • Meanwhile, mix the second bit of lime juice, agave, and salt in a small pan over medium/medium low heat and reduce by about half until it thickens but is still pourable, about 5 minutes.

Finish

  • Remove the chicken from the oven and toss with the agave lime glaze then sprinkle with sliced serranos, cilantro, and sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!
